SHARING, ENRICHING, STRENGTHENING

About SAPH

SAPH is a member-led, registered non-profit organization and professional association that provides information, education and supports to Saskatchewan’s Approved Private Service Home operators.

The members we represent consist of approximately 400 Approved Private Service Homes in Saskatchewan and have chapters in Prince Albert, North Battleford, Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Swift Current and Yorkton.

Approved Private Service Homes are certified by the Ministries of Health and/or Social Services that provide homes and supports for persons with intellectual, mental health and often physical disabilities.

SAPH advises government agencies of the needs and requirements of approved homes as well as working with public sector representatives on legislation and policies affecting approved homes. We cooperate with the appropriate ministries that can help manage solutions to any issues that may arise concerning the care of residents living in our approved homes.

Our Vision

For every person with disAbilities in Saskatchewan to have the opportunity to live in a safe, loving, compassionate, inclusive, quality home. To ensure respect and equality for all approved home service providers and residents in the province of Saskatchewan.

Our Mission

To provide support, advocacy, knowledge, education and leadership to licensed operators of approved private family service homes. To support and advocate for residents and approved home operators  through the provincial Ministries of Health and Social Services and other organization.
